Ryan was the Illusions Consultant for this magical production of “fantasies to study.” He created, directed, and taught the actors several sleight of hand magic effects infused into the choreography. Adapting to the immersive in the round staging, Ryan designed a burst of red silks and silver glitter appearing from thin air. The director wanted to incorporate real fire into the language of the Leading Player, so Ryan designed moments to make lit matches, candles, and fireballs appear and disappear his fingertips. A knife teleported across the stage.
